The festival dates are June 30 - September 3 and the grounds are open daily from 10am to 10pm.

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park Paintings For The Sawdust Festival

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park on the canyon trail walking to Big Bend.  The colors are in the afternoon when the rocks are cerulean and the mountains are in purple and blue shadows.

The Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is a big destination for hikers and painters.  I used to drop my kids off at school across the street at Anneliese and spend the morning painting in the canyon.  Five days a week, I painted like a fiend.  I knew I had to develop quickly as an artist.  The park was not open to the public and I had the combination to the gate lock.  I was in heaven.

Had an unfinished Crystal Cove painting that I am now very happy with.  You can see the "Beaches" house.  This is old Crystal Cove before the gardens were taken out and the homes restored.
